For those of you cringing at the thought of wearing white outside of Summer, you are not alone.

Summer wardrobing dates back to the 1800’s when wearing white was a practical way of staying cool in the absence of air conditioning. In 1894, when Labor Day became a federal Holiday, it marked the official end of summer. Vacationers would promptly return to the city, pack away their white dresses and linens, and to return to their darker city wear. In the 1920’s, Coco Chanel made white a permanent part of her wardrobe. In fact, she was famous for wearing her white suiting all year round because she found it so chic.

No matter where you stand on this debate, summer has arrived along with a healthy delivery of white denim. Check out the Wrabyn edit of White denim here.

“I’m definitely going through a style evolution right now — focusing more on basics and stocking up on favorite styles of denim paired back to bold layers. I want to look polished but feel cool and effortless (while being able to run after my toddler).”
