How to Halloween (with clothes you already own)!

The crisp air. The changing leaves. The crackle of fire kindling. Ahhh, Fall. If you didn’t pick up on my great affection for Fall in the last blog post, let me proclaim it again for you now. And now that the weather has decided to cooperate, I am in my happy place. Leather jackets with a yoke of cashmere at my neck. Layering pieces abound! It’s sweater weather! Everyday. All day. Life is so good!

Except next week is Halloween.

What business do ghosts and goblins have interrupting my fashion moment? Orange is NOT the new black. And I do not like costumes. I can get behind a dress code, but otherwise I don’t like to be told what to wear and when to wear it. (I sound like my 8 year-old!) What’s worse: I’ve made a career of dressing and styling women so that they look and feel just like themselves.

Well, if you can't beat 'em...

Now, I can assure you that I'm not going to rush out for a plastic costume. Nope. So we brainstormed (well, Whitney brainstormed) and pulled inspiration from some classic movie moments to help you make the most of your Halloween costume with items you already own.
